AMAZING. Thats all I can say... it will give you goosebumps if it doesn't make you cry first! Created by the AWESOME speaker, Reggie Dabbs, who I was blessed to meet.
A great event at which you can be a part of shaping the lives of Lutheran youth. There are great opportunities for young adults to be volunteers, & we specifically want you (aka young adults 20-25) to serve as 'Servant Companions'. Check out the w...

“I don’t think there’s such a thing as secular and sacred. You either spend your life with God or without. If you spend your life with God, everything is sacred”
-Paul Colman
"He came after me, I didn’t come after Him. You know, every other religion is about people chasing after a deity. Whereas, Jesus comes after you and He whispers in your ear and He leaves you the kind of voicemails that say, ‘I love you. I’m crazy about you’." -Paul Colman
If I could live anywhere... (why?)
I like where I live now very much because my church and church family are all here. If I did move though, it would be to Aurora, IL or somewhere close to Chicago. I love Chicago and have spent many summers out in Aurora with my Aunt Kris who I'm very close to. LOVE it out there!! It would be pretty sweet to live in London too, so much history there!!
Others describe me as...
Kind, goofy, dependable, good speaker, responsible, caring.
I most feel the presence of God when...
I'm outside looking at the clouds or I'm at a praise and worship show, like Jeremy Horn or the Newsboys. There are so many people but you can zone them out and zone Him in.
I'm passionate about...
My church's youth group; I started helping my youth minister out in the fall of 2008 on a regular basis- the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm also passionate about my summer job- I work at my church's daycare/preschool. Both are so much fun- I love my big kids and little ones as well! lol. I have spurts of excitement rather than passion when it comes to my major, history. I love history, but not as much as I love what I'm doing at church.
In the future, I will be...
Serving God... thats #1 to me. I also would be so grateful and feel so blessed if I found that person to share my life with. I look forward to getting married and having a family. As for a job- thats a toss up. If I stick with what I'm doing in college I will be a high school or middle school history teacher. If I stick with what I'm doing at church, I'll be in youth ministry.
My biggest struggle with discerning/following "my call" is...
I doubt myself. And I constantly second guess myself as well. I'm studying to be a teacher, and the thought of being a teacher makes me nervous; I doubt how good I would be. Also, since I've been helping my youth minister and getting more and more connected to my church, I've feel that urge to do something more. My youth minister and pastor both say I should go into ministry, anc Cassie (Y.M,) has felt that she needs to point me in that direction (like its God's call). It would be pretty sweet to be a youth minister... but I get those doubts in my head telling me I'm not good enough, I don't know enough, I've been a screw up, etc. I know that is definitely Satan, but its hard to ignore sometimes. I'm just not sure what God wants me to do... either that or I know but it scares me to jum p into it.
A person/people who has/have helped me grow in my faith...
My youth minister/friend/second mom, Cassie. I love this girl!!! She has impacted my faith since I was in her youth group as a high schooler. Since I've graduated, she constantly reigned me in, asking me to help her with activities here and there, eventually getting me officially involved with the church and my amazing church family. We've gone on many adventures and I've had so much fun with her and plan to continue these adventures with her! She's so amazing, I don't know what I would do without her!
Peter Furler is another person who has impacted my faith. If you don't know him, he was the lead singer of the Christian group the Newsboys until recently. I've been to many Newsboys shows and watched interviews of Peter and he has just encouraged me through his testimonies and through his lyrics; they both bring me closer to God. I admire what he has done to serve God and aspire to it.
Because of my faith, I...
Feel like a different person and think differently as well. It feels good to shine the light of Christ and show God's love to others each day. I'm more conscientious of how I act and what I say to others. I in no way am a pro at it and still have a lot of work to do in my relationship with God, but I'm excited at how far I have come in my faith.
