As I rode the train this morning to work, I paused for a moment from reading my book as a warm thought swept through my mind in the Chicago morning sunshine. I have started to view this place as a community. I have started to appreciate the vastness of its people. This isn't a city of just skyscrapers and "slums" (I hate that word). This is a network of amazing, thriving people. This city has faces. Those faces have names. Those names are called to vocation in this world.
